Dr. Aafia's daughter Maryam will celebrate her first Ramadan Fast this week-end (August 28-29)
Maryam, who went missing in March 2003 along with her mother and two brothers, was mysteriously dropped off near her grandmother's house after being held in captivity for over 7 years. She has only recently begun a process of rehabilitation and normalization. This fast of Ramadan is another milestone in that development.
